Basic Radiation Safety Training Refresher
Radioisotope Users (Basic in-class radiation training)
Required annually: Employees who have taken this class at least once at WSU may take the annual refresher on-line.
This training is required for all employees using radioactive materials in the laboratory. The lecture is held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at Office of Environmental Health and Safety, 5425 Woodward, Suite 300,Detroit, MI 48202. The following Monday all students must take and pass a written Radiological Health Exam. Discuss with your PI the radioactive materials with which you will be working before coming to the training.

X-Ray Generating Machine Users
required annually: Employees only need to take the on-line RGM safety course each year. There is no classroom training or exam.
This training is required for all employees using radiation generating machines on campus. This is only available to WSU students or employees. Discuss dosimetry needs with the Machine PI, and complete the Dosimetry Request Form if needed.

Irradiator Refresher Training
Anyone who is authorized to operate irradiators must complete this online training annually.At the completion of training a certificate will be generated which must be documented in your file.
